Khayla and Christina
A highway accident on March 14, 2015, took the lives of two wonderful and much-loved young people, Khayla and Christina.
Khayla Rose Choi was born in Makati, Philippines, and later moved to Torrance and Mariposa, California. Khayla died at the scene of the accident. She is survived by her parents, Peni (who was severely injured in the accident) and Mark Choi; her brothers Aaron, Michael, and Joseph, as well as cousins, friends, and her darling Maltese, Puffy. Khayla’s Diary, which has been posted online, gives some glimpse into the spirit of this loving 13-year-old.

A life-long resident of Mariposa, she is survived by her love, Aaron Choi, and his family; her father Richard Jarrett and her mother Roberta Lynne Teague; paternal grandfather Richard Jarrett; maternal grandparents Carl and Arvlynn (Prentice) Teague; and many uncle and aunts, Robert Jarrett, Randy Jarrett, Jenine Jarrett, Michelle Johnson (Bill) and Heidi and Leigh Brown.
