Darwin and Jeanne Shaw’s son Lowell attended the 1962 East West Gathering and met Meher Baba several times in Myrtle Beach prior to that. He took many of the films and photos of Baba on those occasions.

Lowell Aaron Shaw, 80, born April 7, 1932. Lowell, a loving husband, father and grandfather, peacefully passed on July 5, 2012, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Schenectady, NY, to the late Darwin and Jeanne Shaw. Lowell was a member of the Second Baptist Church in South Hadley where he served as a life time deacon. Lowell proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He received the Korean SVC Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Presidential Unit Citation ROK DAGO, National Defense SVC Medal and United Nations SVC Medal. Lowell is predeceased by his daughter, Karol-Ann Shaw. He is survived by his wife, Janeth Mears Shaw, of 51 years, and his two sons, Gary Lowell Shaw of Chicopee and Alan Jeffery Shaw and his wife Nancy Cote Shaw of Granby. Lowell also has two grandchildren, Hope and Ryan. Lowell is also survived by a sister, Renae Shaw of California.
